  • Don’t make any stops in between the pharmacy and your home so as to shorten the journey
  • Put the insulin in the fridge as soon as you arrive home
  • The best place in the fridge to store insulin is in the middle – never store it in the vegetable compartment or in the door as these areas are not as cold
  • Never freeze insulin
  • Make sure the average temperature of your fridge is always between 2° and 8° Celsius
